Download the best PDF editor from the official website, double-click on the installer file, and follow the on-screen instructions to install it to your computer. Then launch it and add the PDF that you want to protect with a watermark. Here you have three methods, drag and drop the PDF file into the interface, or choose the Open option in the File menu to import the document. Alternatively, you can set the program as the default PDF viewer and double-click on the PDF file to open it directly.
Step 2: Add a watermark to the PDF
After importing the PDF, click the Pages menu on the menu bar to open the Pages toolbar. Then select the Watermark to open the watermark pop-up dialog. Here you can find several custom options. Firstly, decide to add text or image watermark. For a text watermark, set the appearance, such as font, size, color, and more. Then click the OK button and put the text watermark in the correct position. If you want to add an image watermark, load the image from your hard drive, set the custom options, and hit OK. Next, change the watermark position and size.
Step 3: Save the watermarked PDF
Once you add the watermark to one page of the PDF, it will appear in the same position as other pages. If you are not satisfied with it, remove the watermark and re-watermark the PDF. Finally, press the Ctrl + S keys on your keyboard to save the watermarked PDF. If you do not want to replace the original PDF file, save it as a new PDF.
